About this programme
The Institute's flagship field: the care, dignity and science of a life well-lived into old age. Home to the APAM professional pathway, gerontological management, applied bioethics, and continuous professional refreshers led by a corps of retired expert volunteers.
APAM Foundation Course · Ed. 2026-2 forms part of this school's pathway. It is taught in ES and referenced to the European Qualifications Framework. Its workload — 140 hours, approximately 5.6 ECTS — follows the European convention of 25 hours per credit, covering guided instruction, independent study and assessment.
Certification
On completion you receive a Paraninfo micro-credential referenced to the EQF, in the sense of the European Council Recommendation of 16 June 2022 (2022/C 243/02). It is a professional qualification, not an academic degree.
